Uh Oh. Something is missing. Try double checking things.

My name is Emy Nayoumealuk and I'm from Inukjuak, Quebec. I have two wonderful daughters. I am currently in Kuujjuaq to do an internship with Pijunnaqunga and I am working full time at Qarjuit Youth Council as the assistant general manager. I decided to apply for the program because I thought it would be a good experience to try something new, develop valuable work skills & experience and venture out of my comfort zone by moving to a different community for 8 weeks. I learned a lot during the 2 week training and I am enjoying my internship so far.
I chose to work for QYC because I wanted to take part of an organization that helps make a difference and improve the lives of Inuit youth in Nunavik and Chisasibi. Every day I learn more about how a non for profit organization works and what it’s like to be an assistant general manager. I am very grateful for this opportunity because it helped me to regain motivation and confidence in myself. Before my internship, I felt limited to the responsibilities of a young mother. Now I know I can do anything, which is both scary and exciting.
